Looks like he does make those around him better.....especially Orpik! Interesting how we thought it was such a bad deal for the Caps, maybe they knew what they were doing?

So...playing with a guy who shoots all the time helps make you look better based on metrics influenced mostly by shots...?
Peter Bondra would have been the best "possession" player ever too...
Also a quick glance of the link seems to imply that Orpik looks good despite himself, so it changes nothing about what we thought of the deal, it's a very high and unnecessary...

Oh I agree with you, I just find it interesting that it is working out pretty well for them. I thought it was going to be a disaster.
