There's been some pretty epic comebacks in Canada/Russia recent WJC history if memory serves...

The Canadian nativists (and US Olympic basketball team fans) always kind of weird me out. You pound your chest and have proven once again that you are the kings of your game.
I guess that's cool, but isn't that like a Louisiana cook inviting someone from Minnesota to challenge them at a crawfish boil?

If Morrissey were to become a Penguin, I would get my first jersey since I was 15.

You can say that again, professor. That was terrific. Gonna be tough for me to get to sleep for a bit, my heart is still going from that one and with no rooting interest...

Glad to see Barbashev get the Russian Player of the Game, but I thought Sharks prospect Nikolay Goldobin was the best Russian player tonight. Dangerous every time he stepped on the ice.

Re: World Juniors
they can pound their chests all they want but the last several years of this tourney have proven that this tourney can go to any one of the top 5 teams in any given year. hell, in the last 6 years USA has twice as many golds as Canada.columbia wrote:The Canadian nativists (and US Olympic basketball team fans) always kind of weird me out.
