Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Maybe I'm confused by the use of 'irrational', but nearly every single gripe in this thread (including the ones I've shared) is eminently rational and understandable. I'm waiting for someone to post something like, "God, I HATE slippers. F'n things are stupid." That's irrational.

Meh, I think 'irrational' is just for lulz because they're mostly not material in big-picture land. Although, the bigger the peeve, the better.
Phrasing.
Phrasing.

People that call sandals "slippers" legitimately annoy me (the Long Islanders that I met while I went to Stony Brook called them that).
Seriously, sandals aren't god damn slippers

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I played Scategories this last week and wrote "leftenant" as an answer because I didn't realize that the British spell it the same, they just say it differently. I'm an idiot.Shyster wrote:The British pronunciation of "lieutenant." Also, my cat's name is Colonel and its amazing how many people spell it "Kernal" instead of what it should be

State police escorts for college football coaches. I realize some SEC fans are special kinds of nut jobs but a 3 trooper contingency of Georgia's finest to escort Mark Richt out of tonight's big Belk Bowl win? Seriously?

If a place has a stall at all, only one stall is unacceptable.

Wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of people only realize this because of Sleepy Hollow, though.

I had never heard of it up until about six months ago (now I see it mentioned everywhere) and I played it and it was an absolute riot...but I could see how people wouldn't like it...
