Because they've been losing? Youre a horrible fan.shafnutz05 wrote:Are you saying this in terms of not knowing what to watch? Because I will most assuredly not be watching the Pens once the game starts.FreeCandy44 wrote:What sucks is Pens vs Habs at 7 that night at Consol.

The traffic downtown and the surrounding area will be a hell hole with both of the games happening basically at the same time.shafnutz05 wrote:Are you saying this in terms of not knowing what to watch? I have tickets to the Pens game. I also have a hotel at the Marriott, so I got that going for me. Still... I get to go watch a bunch of minor leaguers, while the Steelers play the Ravens. Thanks for the Christmas gift, honey.

Just have the Consol arena brass make an announcement that we're all DVRing the Stiller game and order a total blackout on score updates.
Problem solved.

Re: Official 2014-2015 Pittsburgh Steelers Thread
Wow, I have saved the tix for this Friday and Saturday slate of Pens games, but now I'm torn. I'll be driving in to see these games, but think I may bag the Saturday game now in favor of the Steelers game.
Another part of my brain says go watch the Pens in person and hope for a pleasant surprise if Bell is really out. Watching them lose to Baltimore would be very painful, and if they do win somehow there will be another game the following week. The opposing voice in my head says the Pens don't play an important game for months and the Steelers game is a big one.
Hate HNIC and the fact that it has to be the Habs that night. I'm sure it would have been moved if not for that.

Wait, it's all so simple. As a season ticket holder to the Pens having received NO holiday gift, not even a card. I am going to watch the Steelers at the bar with my buddies and forgo the Pens game.

I can't stand it--a piece of "cultural production" that makes us all sound like we have the collective IQ of a three-eyed blind lizard found in the Mon. I intensely dislike everything about it.skullman80 wrote:That song is awful but the yinzers eat it up.
Update the polka. It's happy, you can dance to it, it's regional, it has history, and dammit, it won 4 times!

I just saw the bell hit for the first time. Looks like the kind of hit the nfl wants. Nowhere near the head. Yay for safe hits!

I'm honestly perplexed by the people having an existential crisis over which game to watch. An NFL playoff game featuring one of the best rivalries in North American pro sports, or a mid-season hockey game against a team from France Minor. There is no choice here, folks.

Hockey is the superior sport, so I'll be watching the Pens (and occasionally checking in on the Steelers game).tifosi77 wrote:I'm honestly perplexed by the people having an existential crisis over which game to watch. Probably easier to watch the Steelers game live, dvr the Pens game, since I doubt the announce team for Steelers will give Pens updates, but can almost guarantee Pens broadcast will do Steeler updates.
