Yeah, I personally really enjoyed it. Definitely going to be on the lookout for some.

Picked up Troubadour and Buffalo, a couple of Belgian stouts. I can't recall trying that style, so this should be interesting.

Jig was also selling a St Bernadus 4-pack with a glass. 12 oz of Abt, Pater 6, Pater 8, and Tripel for $25. Gave it a whirl.

That said, I find the actual reviews to be more useful on ratebeer, and it is linked up with Beerbuddy, which is the best beer app, so, I do use it.
Untappd > Beerbuddy, although the rating system of .5 to 5 doesn't give a lot of room for adjustment.

Thirsty Dog 12 Dogs of Christmas - I can't tell if its good or not. Spicy--definitely. Christmasy-definitely. Just a little on the bitter side for me.

tested out a Victory Winter Cheers and it was great. It's basically a goose island sofie light. Not real sure how it fits into being a winter beer, but at 6.7%, these will go down easy and I expect get me in trouble, going to have to load the kids in the radio flyer tonight. Be excellent to each other.

Untappd has gotten a lot better over the years. The app, anyway.
For Android, it always felt like they didn't do a very good port of the iPhone app. It didn't seem to use a lot of the built in features of Android's OS, mostly relating to the keyboard.

But it's very usable now.

I felt like Untappd had a distinctly social media flavor. Beer Buddy feels way more informational, and I like being able to scan barcodes vs. typing a search.

I didn't know about Beer Buddy. I'll try it out.
I like the social aspect of Untappd. I only have a few friends on it. As I know their tastes I can tell if I'd like a beer based off their ratings.

The Pater and the Prior were both really good. Liked the Prior a bit more; little richer and smoother.

Would recommend both to those looking to try brown ale types.

Not impressed with Southern Tier Old Man. Piney and bitter, not really in a good way though.

Finally got my hands on a Snowpack sampler, can't wait to dig into that this evening. Fire is already going, Christmas lights are on, Nat King Cole playing, etc.

Are they alluding to the fact that old men are often bitter?

The Buffalo belgin stout is tasty. It's thinner than I generally like stouts, but I'm not not returning its phone calls and stalker texts.

I've said this before, but Sierra Nevada offers an incredible price point vs. quality of beer. I bought the Snowpack for under $34 at my distributor. Any other variety pack from a top-end craft brewery, you are looking at least $38, generally more for things like Founders ($40+). It's a great variety too, with four distinct flavors of beer. I hate the variety packs that have three ales and one lager, or some similar lame arrangement.

The Coffee Stout is fantastic too

Note to self (and, probably eddysnake): Duck Rabbit Milk Stout after a series of belgian stouts is not, repeat, not, a good idea.

Somehow, I've never had Leffe Brune, so I picked up a six pack at the Kroger.
