Re: The Walking Dead
Thanks to the TWD marathon all week on AMC I was able to record the first half of S5 today, so I should be able to complain about the show in real time with you guys pretty soon.

I had forgotten how bad the hospital storyline is.

The Hospital was a waste of story.

I'm glad to see that the writers still have the characters ignoring walkers and pretending like they won't hurt them.

Re: The Walking Dead
Episode would have been better if it was a character I cared about who was fighting death. It was good, but I didn't get much of an emotional connection.

Re: The Walking Dead
Beth haunted us from the grave with one more surge of dead behind the eyes bad acting.
I liked tyrese. I connected to this episode.
And glen did something tonight that may be some really blatant foreshadowing.

Re: The Walking Dead
Tyreese was an awful character in the TV version of TWD. Very glad he's gone. Glenn with the baseball bat seems to be crazy foreshadowing though.

Re: The Walking Dead
i think this episode exposed the poor job they did in developing him. there were all these character traits that were thrust upon him last night that he didn't actively exhibit enough of.Malkamaniac wrote:Tyreese was an awful character in the TV version of TWD.
like...were we supposed to think he was this tortured soul who was haunted by regret? or that he had a guilty conscious? i get that he went through a lot with the 2 little girls, but we didn't hear boo about it since it happened, right? just a few reeeaally vague conversations. and the guy he lied about killing? they could have worked his guilt in a little better. and what the hell does beth have to do with anything. what a clumsy excuse to give her a farewell (you could say the same about bob...but i liked bob).
and other stories with him...like his girlfriend getting killed. his anger was warranted, but to what extent? you're in the zombie apocalypse. any time anyone dies, it has to be a little expected, right? she was probably like the 20th most important person he lost since day 1. not exactly psycho revenge fodder.
basically, i waited this whole time to find out who tyrese was, and they waited until last night to tell me. disappointing character end to end...even though i liked him.
