People that get upset about someone saying merry christmas. just say you too and move on. same goes with people that get upset over happy holidays instead of merry christmas.

Car commercials that show the car doing stuff that it cannot do.
Like snowboarding, or landing a plane in the bed or outrunning an Armageddon-sized meteor.
How about just showing me what your car "can" do?

To be clear, it was the 'more than once' that I was referring to. Anyone can make a mistake, but when you're standing out in the cold in your jammies (because that's what they went to class in anyway) again it's pretty bad.stopper40 wrote:I have to ask, but what is dumber than not taking the wrapper off of microwave popcorn?Letang Is The Truth wrote:im sure my dorm was evacuated for far dumber reasonsdodint wrote:When my wife was a freshman at SVC the dorm was evacuated more than once because of people making popcorn and forgetting to take off the clear wrapper around the bag first. Christmas light peeves:
1) LED Christmas lights. They look terrible.
2) Netted Christmas lights. They look terrible and show how lazy you are.
3) When they are not uniform such as when there is either too much or too little strand to go around and it only wraps 90% around the door or window.

Can you even buy incandescent Christmas lights anymore? I'd love to find a strand of the big fat Christmas lights that were old when we had them in the 80's.

I don't know but I would kind of doubt it. I just think the LEDs look to soft or cool (color wise). I like the bright and crisp look of the old fire starters...

I am of the opinion that car commercials are the worst commercials on tv. doesn't matter what they show the car doing, I hate them all
like that stupid god damn "that's not a Buick" commercial/series of commercial. I don't even know what angers me about it, I just know I hate it.

When you break off what you think is a nice, big clove of garlic and then you peel it and realize it's 3 or 4 small cloves. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

My buddy put his soup in with the metal cover still on it. Does that count?stopper40 wrote:I have to ask, but what is dumber than not taking the wrapper off of microwave popcorn?Letang Is The Truth wrote:im sure my dorm was evacuated for far dumber reasonsdodint wrote:When my wife was a freshman at SVC the dorm was evacuated more than once because of people making popcorn and forgetting to take off the clear wrapper around the bag first. In my entire life, I've never witnessed anyone get upset at being told, "Merry Christmas." I thought that was made up.newarenanow wrote:count2infinity wrote:People that get upset about someone saying merry christmas. just say you too and move on. same goes with people that get upset over happy holidays instead of merry christmas.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Doesn't bother me. If someone thinks the majority of the Western world goes nuts for two months a year for a reason bigger than Christmas (as a cultural event, not so much the dogma of it) they're out of their mind and not worth reasoning with. It sucks that it takes away from whatever you're celebrating, but if your event really has meaning to you what everyone else is doing is inconsequential.
