Yeah. I mean they're not great players. If they were, they wouldn't on waivers. But they are NHLers and, at the absolute least, would be upgrades over Sill & Adams.

Are they, though? Chipchura, despite being in the league as long as he has, has never really found his niche. Brunner is good for one great offensive play and game, then 18 minutes of "wow, how is this dude on the 2nd line?" I hate claiming players, though, so what do I know?

I guess that's the question. Is it worth the disruption to give these two a shot to provide a stop-gap and not a long term solution? I'm not a big fan of Brunner. His game has not translated to NA well at all.

Damien Brunner (NJ) did not report to Albany (AHL), he is on unconditional waivers today for purposes of a mutual termination. He maybe headed back to Switzerland.
