At the end of the ceremony did he rifle a slap shot at someone?

Always seemed like a prick to me, especially when contrasted with other Swedes, and nothing that I saw of this whole thing really changed my view of that.

I like it. Better than lingering around in a suit.

Ideal is salute at the end of last game (with cup!). But in this case, not possible.PghSkins wrote:Keep going back and forth- retiree suiting up and taking warmups- cool or stupid?
eg. I would be in favor of JJ retiring as a Pen, like this, if he were so inclined.

Senators should have told the jagoff to go to hell and retire as a Red Wing.

He's the all time best Ottawa Senator (2), he went in search of a Cup. This was a gesture of "I'm cool, you're cool, we're all cool" - he's basically played every game in Senators2 history, he's loved.

I liked the shoot around idea: back with his mates for a final time.

I heard Ken Holland urged Alfie to retired a Senator.

The tribute was enough, if he wore his jersery over his suit it would of been enough for the fans. Now if he played that last game just for a few shifts that would of been awesome. To bad its a 500k cap hit if that happens, lol.
Its not for him, its for his fans in Ott.

I liked alfie. Not every player has to be a universal fan favorite to me. He was a skilled player.
