Violation of child labor laws?? Really? Seems some parent must have complained that their kid didn't get enough money to play the game.

The junior leagues have always been "amateur" leagues...I'd think having to pay each player that much money would bankrupt many of the US teams. I think this is opening a can of worms and would set a very bad precedent.

Eh, just change the wording to make playing hockey there an "internship" or some crap...fight stupid with dumb and call it a day...

i would assume the team picks up room and board and either pays for meals or gives meal money. As long as their basic needs are kept up with i can't see what the problem is.
