I have a magnet from my last walkthrough of the Igloo. It was from a restaurant in Kentucky that mentions that they are not on the internet, almost like they were proud of it. That would have been in 2011. I wonder if that's still the case, or if they are still in business.PensFanInDC wrote:Businesses that don't have a website, specifically restaurants.

My move is to slowly accelerate until I'm not quite a car's length ahead of the car in the next lane. I think it maximizes the frustration level of the tailgater, cos they are literally only like 2-3 feet from being able make the lane change and overtake.PensFanInDC wrote:The box in is a favorite.

I agree..or a website in general. If not then you are at the mercy of their Yelp/Urban Spoon page who knows when the information was updated. Especially if there are pictures of the menu and you have no idea if its still relevant or not.MalkinIsMyHomeboy wrote:Resaurants without an online menu

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
- Going to work this morning and get to the end of one my neighborhood streets to suddenly find a car stopped about 100 feet in front of the Stop sign. No cars in front of it. I stop behind them and wait. About five seconds later they angirly wave at me to go around them. What were they doing? Talking on their cell phone. I appreciate they weren't driving while talking on the phone but could you get out of the middle of the damn road to do it?
- I Went to one of the big Giant Eagle's last night to get a few things. I usually don't go to GE but it was irritating to navigate through their produce and bakery sections. So many giant displays all over the place that often were only big enough to fit one cart through. I had stop and wait a few times. Just seemed like a cluttered mess. I get to pay and I realize I don't have my Advantage Card with me. They try to look it up with my phone number and that fails. I try my last two phone numbers. Nada. They try the information off my driver's license. Nothing. So now I have to take my receipt and my Advantage Card to customer service some day to get everything fixed up. Earlier today, I happened to remember my Advantage Card account login information and see that my address and phone number are all updated and current. I wonder what my cashier was typing in? Just all around frustrating experience.

I'm preparing a fully executed contract with a retailer in Spain. FedEx International Economy rate: $53.19. FedEx International Priority rate: $39.64.
Does 'economy' not mean what I think it means?

I'm thinking it could also be "priority" that doesn't mean what you think it means.tifosi77 wrote:I'm preparing a fully executed contract with a retailer in Spain. FedEx International Economy rate: $53.19. FedEx International Priority rate: $39.64.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Clearly.
International Economy takes three days longer to arrive than Priority. I get that. What I don't get is that it also costs 13 bucks more than Priority.
International First costs $112.05, so for a difference of only $72.41 you can guarantee delivery before noon on the same day as International Priority. Granted, I know there are times when that's necessary. But holy crap.

This is way too rational, but panicky people in the workplace. I'd like to boot them out of the workplace.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I had a similar issue with my Advantage Card. The issue was that the person who took down my phone number when I signed up used hyphens. This made me a bit insane with curiosity. Should the person not have had the three fields to enter the area code, exchange and whatever the last portion is called? That would eliminate some yayhoo using hyphens in a phone number. Then I was all like "Who uses hyphens?" I'm a period guy when writing down phone numbers. And really, if you have only one field to enter a phone number, don't use hyphens or periods, just a string of numbers.pens9192 wrote:- Going to work this morning and get to the end of one my neighborhood streets to suddenly find a car stopped about 100 feet in front of the Stop sign. Then I realized I thought and cared way too much about this and cursed myself for being such an anal retentive jerk.

The system shouldn't allow for anything but numbers. Poor input validation.

I've grown to dislike newer Christmas songs for this reason.
