Lucic buckled and was down for a good 3 seconds before he knew where he was and could get back up. You see this all the time in the UFC. Guy gets rocked, fight is stopped, then the guy that got rocked acts like it was no big deal despite not being able to protect himself for a good amount of time. If he would have kept throwing at Lucic then Lucic would have stayed down and most likely really been hurt.

So do you agree that if this happened to someone else that no one would care? Fights get broken up prematurely all the time. I dont see what so great about this.

I think that goes without saying. It would have made the highlight reel most likely, but it certainly wouldn't have been discussed at the length it's been discussed, but that's the same with everything in sport. When it's big names or people with a reputation (Lucic's reputation of being a tough guy/PITA) this sort of attention is going to come and is warranted.

Lucic was not ready to go. He got clocked, buckled, went down, and was wide open for a good 3 seconds. The fight was over. Lucic could have been mangled in those 3 seconds.

Ready to go? Lucic was done after that punch. Prout could have pummeled when he Lucic hit the ice had the ref not intervened, cause Lucic was in la la land and wasn't going to be defending himself.
