Three episodes in. It's an improvement over season one, which is awesome in its own right. The show does a really good job at building and evolving characters. Felicity also seems hotter this season.

I think it has the perfect balance of action and story, just an extremely solid show

I really love the 5 season plan they have. Oliver was missing for 5 years, and each season will deal with 1 year of flashbacks. So when the series comes to an end, we'll have a complete picture of how he went from billionaire playboy lost at sea to the Green Arrow.

The flashbacks are largely awful for me.

I thought they were good in season 1 and have gotten worse over time. But they're definitely serving their purpose of filling in the storyline.

They would be better if we got more than 1-2 minutes at a time. I'd like to see an entire episode or 2 from the island. When it's all said and done I'd like to re-watch the show in chronological order.

I liked them up until this season. To avoid spoilers since im on my phone and cant tag it...when that one guy went from good to bad, i started hating the flashbacks.

I just watched one from season one where most of it took place on the island
Spoiler:
Where Queen and Slade try to get on a cargo plane. Most of it was flashback because Queen had been shot.

Hevent gotten that far. I slowed down because my wife has started the series and I'm waiting for her to catch up. It holds up really well on a second watch through so far.

She's trying to bathe a very tired 3 year old right now which is akin to trying to put pants on an octopus so...maybe later.

Amazing episode....
Yeah, good episode. Felt like it could've worked as an hour long one as well.
Spoiler:
Can't believe the brought back the dog. Just... all of the sadness.
Wait, what? Re: your spoiler...
Spoiler:
did they bring the dog back permanently? What happened?
That is the saddest TV moment I think I have ever experienced.

ib4 MASH finale...
Spoiler:
Just a quick reference. When the crew was in Springfield, while they were walking through the city back to the Simpson residence, there was a cut across the street to the dog on the sidewalk (cue very brief strings) who briefly looks up, just as the crew walks out of sight.
Doesn't really make sense re: Springfield/NY location, but it was there.

Whoa! Great Blacklist this week. Like a completely different tonal shift in the writing; it was like watching a different show these last two episodes. Very odd, but a great episode.

to elaborate a little more, it seems like the story lines are changing so frequently.

Another factor with a network show is that the seasons are a lot longer - Blacklist's season is 22 episodes long, so there are more "filler" episodes that don't move the major arc along much.

I guess the upside is that we'll have 14 more episodes to watch this winter/spring.

Blacklist still isn't up on my xfinity app on my xbox, nor is the flash. Fox gets theirs up in a day. Lame.
