That changed yesterday in an awkward exchange on MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” although we ended up learning more about Matthews’ position than Wolf’s.
Matthews asked broadly: “Do you think people could have made that thing better than it turned out?” referring to the Sandusky incident.
“Yeah, all of us in Pennsylvania feel badly about what happened to Penn State and I think it was handled badly,” Wolf responded. “I think most Pennsylvanians think it was handled badly and it’s a black mark on Pennsylvania. We can do a lot better on a lot of things.”

I heard about that last night. Kind of surprised by it. Though neither Matthews nor Wolf really said much of substance:

I think that we all need to support this important cause:

Although that petition was created in 2012 a petition for that cause has been around since at least 2009 in some fashion.

Like building a statue for someone while they're still associated with the team creepy? Or naming a street after a player while he owns the team and plays on it?columbia wrote:That actually makes it even more creepy...if that was possible.

Re: Jerry Sandusky and Related Trials
Reasonable assumption on any (they all are in PA) corrupt PA official = corruption, scumbag, guilty of something, they are powerful, big money.
Reasonable assumption of anything a powerful football coach with many interests and millions of dollars plus other reasonably powerful people (boosters) involved in = you can't assume that's what he exactly meant, that proves nothing, not guilty.

Re: Jerry Sandusky and Related Trials
That was a great read, SDD.
Today's Special meeting of the #PSUBOT - best summed up by let's have a resolution to sit back and wait for pending trials and litigation to unfold, even though we didn't the first time around. About the only good thing about today was it got the vote on the record. A shame, though, that they could find time to rush through Casey's resolution, with only two days notice, amend it, not re-read it, vote down a motion to table like Al Lord's was in July, and ram it through. And then quickly adjourn before considering Lubrano's compromise resolution. And then Keith Eckel - "Let's not rush to Judgment" from the same body that did just that 11/9/11. Ken Frazier wants to vote now, now, now... whatcha hiding, Ken? (For any that were guessing - the vote was 17-9 and the 9 were all the alumni-elected trustees. 6 were absent, but presumably they would have voted with the 17)

It's bizarre to me how attached people get to the sports program at the college they attended.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:"They called us JoeBots but they didn’t realize that this was never about Joe; it was about Penn State. You should. You felt enough connection to the Penguins to join a message board to discuss the team even though you don't have a direct connection to the Pens.Factorial wrote:It's bizarre to me how attached people get to the sports program at the college they attended.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:"They called us JoeBots but they didn’t realize that this was never about Joe; it was about Penn State. My being on this board hardly compares to the sentiments expressed in that link you provided. College football is a like a religion to some people.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:You should. I assure the website is real. It's a conservative news site and Ann Coulter and Newt Gingrich are contributors. I don't really care for either, but even with a possible conservative bias, it doesn't change the factual accuracy of the article.
