That wasn't the only thing to happen during the night:

AHA! I was planning on coming back to her on the vote. Thanks for ruining it!

So, here are my thoughts. On day 1, obhave voted for CIP/EPP who was replaced by columbia. On day 2, columbia voted for obhave. On night 3, we learn that columbia has died of ¡EBOLA!. That was 2 "contacts" between obhave and a known carrier. I think is that it spreads through some sort of voting mechanism rather than by roles. Thus, the only roles in the game would be good/neutral and the goal is to survive until there are no carriers left. The goal of the carriers is to infect everyone.

Since we know CIP/EPP/columbia was the first to die, I'll assume they're "patient 0". The remaining players who voted for CIP/EPP on day 1 are SDD, CBear, MIMH, and dodint. CBear didn't vote on day 2, and the other three all voted for rel who's already in quarantine. So that just leaves those four. I could be entirely off base here, but the implications made by MRandall and PFIDC were that we'd learn more about the game as it went on. This suggests that it's not your standard Warz game.

In short, I believe at least one of SDD, CBear, MIMH, and dodint are infected. Which one to quarantine first? I'm not sure.

Sorry, I'm busier this week than I expected. tfrizz' thoughts are interesting, but that voting mechansim seems a little complicated. Maybe patient zero gets to infect someone each night and then the infected person dies the subsequent night if he isn't quarantined. Something like that. Our job is to find patient zero and quarantine him and the people he infected. We'll find out more when and if rel is released from quarantine as well.

Nobody knows what is going on in quarantine except for those who have been forced into it.

Good question. Maybe that's why CIP was chosen as Patient Zero - he was pretty much guaranteed to draw some votes? Or maybe the infection wouldn't have started to spread until later when he eventually would have got a vote?

my assumption so far is that we're not trying to analyze other players in this game because there aren't any baddies, but instead we're trying to figure out what's the pattern or algorithm of how the iebola! gets spread.
