I assume the lack of a kill is because someone was recruited

I read it more as someone protected. But recruit is plausible.

I'm guessing that we started with one red (patient 0) and there won't be any night kills, only recruits.

Based on the theme of the game you can imagine what my role is. Certain things need to happen for me to have any role other than cold chillin invincible on the side for this game. Frankly I hope you guys try to kill me and then the baddies do the same and then we can start the game for realsies

It's dumb but I didn't make the roles. I literally cannot be killed. I'm either a bystander that never gets into the stream of the game or helps the village win.
