Shame they got a point out of this one, although I suppose they did work for it.Orlando Penguin wrote:Flyers still with a goose egg in the W column.

How long until the "Ducks beat Flyers" thread goes up in PR? I'd really like a venue to discuss that game.

Ducks broadcast was fine. Doesn't surprise me that the Philly Comcast would try to stick you in the last row of section 235 for a shootout.

It was the opposite. Some sort of on-ice cam. You had no feel for anything that was happening.Orlando Penguin wrote:Ducks broadcast was fine. I need to stop doing draftkings for hockey. Had Benn and Seguin then decided to go with Spezza and Hemsky.

I am nervous enough about doing FanDuel/DK for football....can't imagine doing it for hockey. Love the sport but I've been following fantasy football for a hell of a lot longer, and much more comfortable there.Idoit40fans wrote:I need to stop doing draftkings for hockey. Another terrific example of TV people trying to show off their 'access' rather than just sticking with the basics. It really doesn't take much common sense to direct an athletic event.

Re: Other NHL games 2014-2015 season
I do multiple 5 and 10 dollar games each week in football, I do a single $1 game every few days in hockey. I've probably played hockey 3 times so far and at a net -$1.20shafnutz05 wrote:I am nervous enough about doing FanDuel/DK for football....can't imagine doing it for hockey. Watching a SO between Buffalo and Carolina is pretty painful/boring. Nobody can score.

... Jack Joe Colborne has some slick moves. (At least, in the shootout vs. Nashville)

Just saw the John Scott / Orpik replay. Yikes. Pylon city.
So far Neal, Jokinen, Glass, Vitale, Orpik, Niskanen, Engelland have combined for 0 points this season with their respective new clubs. Only Stempniak from the departures has hit the scoresheet.

Engelland has been playing D, rather than F, so it's likely to be expected.
Niskanen is probably the biggest surprise.

So pathetic. I feel like the Flames are already tracking ahead of the Oilers and given how beyond awful things were in Calgary and how much of a head start the Oilers had, well that's just embarrassing.Gaucho wrote:Oilers. So little progress. None at all, in fact.

Ron Duguay looks and dresses like a washed-up rocker from an 80s band you forgot ever existed.

He's always dressed like that too...he's like Rod Stewart's athletic brother...I think it's awesome, personally...jmh470 wrote:Ron Duguay looks and dresses like a washed-up rocker from an 80s band you forgot ever existed.

I guess there's some appeal in his look, much like there's appeal in someone with a mullet who's wearing a denim jacket and zubaz.

Bob McKenzie basically just told Milbury what a hypocrite he is.
