When someone tried to explain this to me I just found it utterly absurd. Amazing that such a "liberal" state could have such Puritan-influenced drinking laws.

They instituted it to reduce drinking and driving. Thought was if you didn't allow cheap alcohol, drunk driving would decrease. I'm not actually sure if it has worked.

Still GF, yes. Except the occasional beer, which makes me feel increasingly like garbage every time I partake.

I'm doing fine with finding good things to cook. Gluten isn't that pivotal in day to day cooking.

This specific complaint is about ice cream. I have an almost perfect coconut milk ice cream method, but when I make it in large batches, it takes too long to freeze, which makes it icy - not creamy. I need to see what other people are doing to adjust, but no one online is using egg yolks because they are intent on fighting nature.

I guess I could just have originally said, "vegans"
