And......Tangradi is on the move again. I cannot believe Eric Tangradi got the Jets goalie Peter Budaj and F Patrick Holland from Montreal. Either Montreal really wanted to dump Budaj in favor of Tokarski, or Bergevin was reading scouting reports on Tangradi from 2009.

This Tangradi trade is just all kinds of weird. Now hearing Budaj has been waived by the Jets, with the intent that if he clears, he will go to their AHL team. Kind of feel bad for Budaj....sees writing on the wall with Tokarski, so asks for trade. Actually gets said trade and fresh start he wanted, only to essentially end up in the same situation...with the Jets choosing Hutchinson over Budaj.

They made a promise to Hutchinson who was already in place. This is exactly what I talk about when I talk about waiver claims and the like. There's a guy already here, already in that spot (in this case, Hutchinson)...they acquired Budaj sure, but that's not an obvious upgrade necessarily and therefore, they waived the new guy. Not the old guy. Though the ages of the players confuse the situation...
