Bombers of Gulden Draak 9000 quad and Corsendonk dubbel.

And lemme tell you something, the 9000 with Gouda is Belgasmic. Well done, Belgoise.

Drinking? Yes. Making? Nah, that's what Arsenal Cider House is for.

Trax Farm in Finleyville produces an excellent no booze cider.

Ommegang Scythe and Sickle tonight. Smooth with a nice finish. Malty in a good way.

The Corsendonk Pater dubbel I'm having now is billed as an abbey brown. It's very much in the BDSA style, so it's more complex that other US browns. Might be worth a try.

DFH 60 minute would be a great place to start.

And thanks c2i
I bought a four pack of the 90 Minute Imperial IPA. You know what....I kind of like this beer. It has a nice malty flavor, with only a hint of bitterness on the finish.

How does this compare to the 60 Minute?

The malt isn't nearly as up front in the 60 minute in my opinion. The bitterness is comparable, so it may seem more bitter due to less malt. 90 minute is by far one of my favorite IPAs. I like it more than 60 minute.

What with the 9%, two of them was quite enough.

Old Rasputin is damned good, and does not feel like a 9% beer.

90 min is far and away my favorite IPA and is a strong contender for "only beer I could drink". St Bernardas Triple probably takes that though.

We went to Stoudt's in Adamstown, PA, for their Oktoberfest celebration at their open air beer hall. Very fun event. Picked up a mix-a-six on the way home. Their Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout is outstanding, one of the best I've had. Everything that I've had by them is solid.

I couldn't really tell you much about the beers I've had from them aside from this. Don't remember any of them standing out per se, but they were all very drinkable. I know I've had their triple, but I forget which others.

Had Great Lakes Spacewalker American Belgo today. It's pretty good. For the price point I'd rather go with other Belgians, but I'm glad I bought/tried this. It's essentially a hoppy tripel.

Green Flash Imperial India Pale Ale. Great DIPA. I can't believe how far I've come that I would enjoy a 101 IBU beer so much, but I thought this thing was just about perfect.

I haven't tried some of these, but I'm surprised to see Heady Topper at 25 and very surprised to see no Pliny, no Stone Ruination, no Bell's Hopslam, no Zombie Dust?

Wonder if it has to do with how it was conducted... Pick your 10 favorite. If you haven't tried one of them, it won't be on your list. Does seem odd.

Finally got around to opening my Drakes Aroma Coma and it was delicious. Reminded me a lot of Sculpin (Amarillo hops I'm guessing?), but a little more intense. Citrus was outstanding. Drakes has been one of the few breweries that knows how to get that resin taste in their ipas, but doesn't leave it so you are one and done. Great IPA to finish off summer with.
