Jim wrote:The Strain is back on the One-and-Done list. A couple weeks ago I put it on life support because of the "good guy" ninja vamps that were at the end of the episode... but it has been relatively boring again since. You just don't care about any of the characters so who cares if they die? Even the kids... Each episode will need to earn the next episode's watching.

they force the personal storylines and everytime they do i wish for every characters death. i don't care about the mother, the divorce, the kid, the girlfriend, etc. its ridiculous. they have a great ending with the ninja vamps and then do nothing with it. pathetic writing.

Turn finale was really good. I'll certainly be watching next season.

Suspend all disbelief though. There is no such thing as police or FBI procedure in that world.

all this talk of John Adams reminds me I haven't watched the finale yet. My wife has a tough time with Paul Giamatti and next to last one she broke down and couldn't take it. Kinda forgot about it until now.

Maybe binge-watching The Walking Dead wasn't such a good idea. The goofs, the bad acting, the predictable characters, and the terrible dialogue are beginning to annoy me.

What season are you on? 1 was excellent, nose dived to the end of 2, got a little better, sucked again in 3 and rebounds in 4.

About halfway though the 2nd. The main characters are taking turns doing incredibly stupid stuff. Guess what, the assuming yet clever Asian dude just got his ashes hauled.

It's why I never started. Just a hunch the writing was all hat and no cattle.

Season 1 was so promising and then idk what went wrong. I think there were budget cuts or something so they had to limit season 2 to that stupid farm. I'm still gonna watch the new season because I'm invested in it but its not very good in general.

The show never recovered from when the network fired/parted ways with Darabont.

Ray Donovan has been dark this season...very well scripted/acted, but uncomfortable to watch at times.

OK, these are the worst episodes. Nothing is worse than the middle of S2. It does get better, even really good at times.
