But people do it so routinely that i'd assume being upset about doesn't prevent them from then doing it anyway.Idoit40fans wrote:I dont think thats irrational.

Interesting; so the action that constitutes the pet peeve itself is what is irrational, rather than the feeling you have about the pet peeve irrational. Its like the Pittsburgh Zoo logo in words.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
So it's not irrational, but when people stop by my office and just start talking to me about whatever inane thought is in their mind without considering what I'm doing, that I may be busy. If they hear my music then they need to comment on what kind of music they like.
This may be more irrational, but when the same people make stupid jokes - the same stupid jokes - day in and day out. One lady has been making the same dumb jokes for 15 years. Her material never changes. She gets on my nerves, even with regular day to day conversation (which also never changes). Sorry, I don't care about the Clarks or how many times you met Scott whoevertheheck. She also does a real light slap on my arm from time to time. I want to scream when she does this. She thinks she's so cute and funny that I want to cut off her feet and bury them somewhere and give her a really poorly drawn map showing their location. Maybe she finds them, maybe she doesn't. I DON'T CARE!

i have taken to walking in a straight line with oncoming traffic, especially at the mall when young adults are just sexting everyone and not looking up. im a pretty solid dude at 6'1 200 so i have knocked a few people off balance. the best is when people look up right before teh collisionTroy Loney wrote:When people walking in groups of two or more, both move slowly and position themselves to make passing difficult.

I may have mentioned it before, but the higher ranking a military officer is the greater chance they'll find where a walkway bottlenecks and then stand in it, completely oblivious to those working around them. I thought it was just me being the low man on the totem pole but after a solid year of watching a ton of them do it in the exact same space in our command center I've concluded they teach it at TBS as a non-verbal communication dominance tactic.

Friends who don't give you their half of the money when you offer to split something (like a hotel room at a wedding) until 3 weeks later.

Applying a single anecdotal experience as conclusive evidence that there must be no problem with the issue being discussed

If it's outdoors, they probably just have a fetish about being saluted.

When old users come back with new usernames and pretend that they're legitimately new.
Yes its irrational, because I really shouldn't care.
