Yeah, stinks like a fox. He's got Eric's offensive skill, Jordan's defensive prowess and he does it with one eye tied behind his back like Marc...he also can throw lightning bolts at his enemies...modern power forward...

Yeah but he has the same amount of Cups as Craig Adams so he couldn't have been very good...tjand72 wrote:Dominik Hasek taken towards the end of round 10.Factorial wrote:^

Re: meow's thread of random hockey facts
Vadnais was an interesting player, a lot of gusto offensively...moved from forward to defense and back again...he used to skate with the puck and send this long, high lob on net from distance...trying to catch goalies napping or getting it lost in the audience or the case of the old Spectrum in Philadelphia - getting it lost in the sun that shone in through the windows there...
Sum up Carol Vadnais in one word: panache.

Phil Esposito was the first player to record 100 points in a NHL season in 1968-69.

Mike Vernon has only 1 testicle due to a slapshot that cracked his cup and shattered a testy. Fact?
(This has been 'a fact' for many years now with hockey friends. Al Iafrate was the shooter.)

Craig MacTavish, the last player to not wear a helmet in the NHL, is the current GM of the Edmonton Oilers, who are awful. The fact being Craig MacTavish has a pattern of stubborn, poor decision making.

I thought that was Al MacInnis that did it, or did Al do damage to another goaltender?BigMcK wrote:Mike Vernon has only 1 testicle due to a slapshot that cracked his cup and shattered a testy. Fact?

It would be so painfully cool if validated. I would have new found respect for Vernon, that's for sure.
