I enjoyed the farmer's tan as well. Have you tried Lagunitas Day Time? I thought this was another great representation of a light IPA.

Southern Tier has a new winter double milk stout coming out...
Our 2xStout is considered by many to be a perfect milk stout. We started with that in mind, and added espresso beans and lemon peels for a true Italian style pick-me-up. The result is a stout so black, so rich, so creamy, it’d be at home in a café along a cobblestone street in some neighborhood in Rome. Yet, it’s beer.

also starting a star series where they feature ingrediants from around the world... first up.. Brit Hop - Imperial British Style India Pale Ale

sounds good to me.

Not a huge milk stout fan, but found a 6 pack of ST 2x stout for $6. It is wonderful.

Dark Pennance, Imperial Black IPA, to be released in October by Founders. Looking forward to it.
Dark Penance starts with a heavy malt foundation of Crystal malt for sweetness and just enough Midnight Wheat to push the color to black. The bitterness is huge (100 IBUs huge), but balanced by malt sweetness and alcohol burn. The hop flavors and aromas range from citrus to floral to pine—most everything that hops can be—thanks to a delicious blend of hand-selected Chinook and Centennial hops. The Imperial Black IPA is 8.9% ABV.

MWB, if you can get your hands on Lancaster Brewing's Milk Stout, I highly recommend it. It's a more mellow stout that I actually enjoy a bit more than 2x

I have had that, and it was pretty good. I think I like this a little more. Would be good to do a head to head tasting though.

I mean they are both good....the 2X is obviously a little warmer on the palate.

And this got me to Googling best milk stouts, and one of the best in the world came up....here?

Holy crap, I'm assuming some of you have been here? The reviews on Yelp, BA, TripAdvisor are outstanding, and I have never heard of this place? Meadville here I come

I'll try that next time. I had the Trois Pistoles in a cold mug, the Maudite was closer to cellar temp (aka cool). Cold tends to cut the character and accentuate citrus/bitterness for me, so that may bode even better.

Oh man, that's a nice buy. I was a really big fan of the space cake.

I finally got around to trying hop house tonight because I found it in the mix six at Shaler GE. Excellent. Tastes very much like a few dry-hopped saisons I've had.

Space Cake was awesome, for 9% it goes down a little too smooth as well, I think it just may get me into some trouble this weekend.

Ok. I realize it's not going to be a cool beer to enjoy for all you hardcore beer snobs, but Fat Head's Bumble Berry honey blueberry ale is pretty damn tasty
