I tried this a couple weeks ago. Definitely not the depth of a bourbon stout, but I liked it ok.

31 seems high for Georgia. In fact, I've yet to have a beer that I would recommend.

It's ok, but not really distinguishable from ____ other breweries. WHich is kind of an issue I have with going to most brew pubs....sure it's ok, but nothing new.

2 very good IPA's over the weekend.

Flower Power from Ithaca Beer Company. This was much fresher than the one I had tried a year ago, and because of that, much more enjoyable. The flavor was medium bodied with malt, had a nice citrus taste and smell from the hops with nice white laced foam. A solid IPA.

Perpetual IPA from Troegs. First, the label is way cool. This label would be an easy spot in a chill chest. Poured into a chilled pint glass, and the piney floral aroma is very forward and present. The overall flavor paired with the perfect hoppy bitterness and smell, this was a very good glass of beer. The wife had a taste, and from her, "too sweet and too bitter", which translates to a beer fan as great balance of flavors that a IPA should have.

Thanks you lot for the send.

Now that Draai Laag regularly teams up with food trucks/carts, there's even more reason to visit. It's a nice little space and the beer is excellent, of course.

Is this a function of some moronic PA liquor code provision?

What's the price? 6 pack or case? I don't like to spend more than $25/case.

$34 for the fall pack.

I noticed they had the victory swing session case for $22 because it was overstocked, I believe this was a spring release, would this thing still be good? You can cellar most saisons can't you? Just know the bottle of sofie says to age for 3 or 5 years on the bottle

Southern Tier has yet to let me down as to the quality of their product line. I have had 5 different beers from them, and the latest was just as good as those before.

This time? Farmer's Tan. A seasonal IPA that removes nothing in terms of flavor and taste of a quality IPA, but somehow limits the ABV to a low 4.6, making it a perfect all day ale. With brewers of IPA's pushing the ABV % higher and higher, it is a pleasant surprise to find a smooth tasting hops present offering that you can enjoy a couple of while maintaining control. An excellent beer.

When I first started enjoying Craft Beer, I subscribed to the Beer of the Month club for one year. It was 50 / 50 as far as beers they sent that I could get from a local liquor store, but there was one that I received from Saranic (I believe -- it's been a many years ago) that was a light IPA. The flavors were not watered down, but the ABV and calories were much lower than a standard IPA. Farmer's Tan reminds me of just how good a light IPA can be.
