I like it. Spicy with a nice undertone of pumpkin. I can drink this.
That was one of the two good pumpkin beers I tried at the Millvale fest. I liked the Weyerbacher better, but they were the only two that actually tasted like pumpkin.

As for me, I just poured some Nectar of the Gods, aka Weihenstephaner Vitus. It is on.

I don't believe I have. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

I picked up the Brother David's double and triple from Anderson Valley Brewing Company.
For $5.89 each for a bomber, I'm not expecting much......but who knows.

I had the double @ the beerfest last weekend. It was ok, nothing special. Hopefully the triple is better.

Weihenstephaner Korbinian. A pretty good Doppelbock, but a bit heavy on the malts. I'd probably stick w/ Celebrator, Optimator or Troegenator, but glad that I got to try it.

At Mountain State Brewing Co in Morgantown. Had one of their seasonal stouts. It was sweet, borderline fruity, which was unexpected

I think they are both excellent values, and very drinkable.

I had the double last night and it was, yeah, perfectly drinkable. I don't know that I would seek it out again, although the price is pretty ok for the style.

No. I will drink them now and in September and October.

Had a green flash Le Freak (trippel joined with imperial ipa) and man was it awesome.

Le Freak is amazing. By far one of my favorite beers.

Also on the Oktoberfest beers, if they were made to tradtition, they should have been started in March and aged over the summer and should be tapped mid September. But I don't give a crap when they're consumed. I would prefer to drink them on cooler days, so yes, I'd save them until September when the weather starts to turn, but I certainly don't think they have to be consumed then. If that's your thing, go for it.

I feel like the real issue is that there aren't enough (quality) märzens on the market in the US.

Bring it!

So good, can't remember having something like this before. Southern tier was supposed to come out with a Belgian ipa in which I'm more excited about after that treat. I had originally pulled out an alesmith speedway stout only to read the giant bottle being 12% and the clock reading 10pm, decided it wasn't the best move. Not that the Le Freak was too much less.

Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. Wow, what a truly nasty beer. BevMo had a six-pack on sale for $6.99, and having seen enough TV spots of how much history goes into this brand -- and how everyone just loves this beer, I went for it. Fail. There are five unopened ones still in the 'fridge. If anyone wants one - or five, help yourself.

Belhaven Scottish Stout. Eh. Too thin, not enough taste.
