I think I'm probably the only person who didn't really like Robin Williams. There was always something about him I found annoying and uncomfortable.
That being said, I still felt like I got punched in the stomach when I heard about it.

These Photos Of Koko The Gorilla Mourning The Loss Of Robin Williams Are Incredibly Moving
In 2001, Robin Williams met Koko, the gorilla who communicates in sign language, at The Gorilla Foundation in Woodside, California. The two immediately became friends. On Monday, Koko was with Patterson when news of Williams’ death broke and phone calls started to come in.
After the first call, Koko came to Dr. Patterson with an inquiring look on her face. Dr. Patterson explained that ‘we have lost a dear friend, Robin Williams.' Koko was quiet and looked very thoughtful. After overhearing an emotional conversation between Patterson and a colleague who had worked with Williams on his PSA for the foundation, Koko signed the words for 'woman' and 'crying.' Koko became very somber, with her head bowed and her lip quivering.
Dr. Patterson also shared her memories of the actor’s visit. “Robin made Koko smile — something she hadn’t done for over 6 months, ever since her childhood gorilla companion, Michael, passed away.”

I'm mixed on him overall. Loved his TV back in the day, plus some stand up. Then the stand up stopped being funny, and he became annoying but it took a while. Then Doubtfire came along and i got back in. Then things i didnt care about.Froggy wrote:I think I'm probably the only person who didn't really like Robin Williams. I take a pretty hard stance on self-destructive behaviors, but I think he had tried rehab a few times so I net out that it's just sad in several ways.

I was hoping this would never happen! Lauren Bacall was a true gem.
I rewatched an episode of entourage recently and I realized Lauren Bacall had a cameo.
You just put your lips together and blow!
edit: The Sopranos, not Entourage

Don't know if this qualifies for #3 but Ed Nelson died. He was a star on the old soap opera "Peyton Place".

Sigh. Sad news, indeed. What a helluva career--70 years of terrific work. She didn't suffer fools, either, from what I could tell in interviews.tifosi77 wrote:Lauren Bacall has died....
