Very sad news. I'm also dreading the inevitable barrage of posts on FB saying, "Why do we care about a stupid celebrity who killed himself? We lose real heroes every day and no one cares!!!!!!!"
Of course, it probably won't be as bad since Williams was a 60something something comedian and not a 20something actor/musician.
holy crap... for as great as a comedian/actor as Williams was, he certainly had some inner demons.
Jim Jefferies did a piece in one of his stand up acts about going to a hotel room with another comic that he didn't name and two girls. The other comedian was almost to the point of raping them when Jefferies claims he stepped in and stopped it. Apparently the comedian got mad and left. While Jefferies never said the name of the comedian, he apparently left enough clues in the act that people figure out it was Williams.
Robin Williams was so witty, so effortlessly witty. We all have inner demons that need dealt with for daily life.
Peace to him and prayers for his family.
Woooooow. I'm usually more on the kind of shocked or "wow how about that" side when I hear of a celebrity death, but this one may really hit me. I know he had his issues, but just not one you'd expect to hear.

Pretty sure that was Tim Allen, not Williams.
I've always heard Dennis Leary.
Also, this is the most bummed I've been about a celebrity death in a very long time. Off to watch Good Morning Vietnam.
