Ew, that Leafs team is filthy so far. If Staggy doesn't goofball the wingers, he's got my vote probably...

Wasn't meant as a shot at him at all. I considered a similar strategy.mikey287 wrote:Ew, that Leafs team is filthy so far. If Staggy doesn't goofball the wingers, he's got my vote probably...

gah still annoyed by voracek. so close.
went with pommer and loui as they can float pretty much anywhere on all lines and solid defensively

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Loui Eriksson was mud last year, but hopefully he can comeback from injuries...he looks much slower than he did in Dallas (not that he was ever remotely fast)...Pommer is a really good pick, can play a lot of roles on the PP if you get creative tactically...good triggerman, can play it both ways...

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Tons of tier two right wingers going off the board. I was seriously taking one of them (Simmonds, Gaborik, Eberle, Voracek especially) but chose Voynov instead. Hopefully I made the right pick...

I feel like Myers is decent value in round 10 for the blue line. He won't be expected to be top pairing and maybe not even top 2 pairings. I think his ability shows more when he isn't required to be "the guy".

Was much better last season vs. the last three years...tracking up at least...Beveridge wrote:I feel like Myers is decent value in round 10 for the blue line. Eberle slipped further (farther?) than I thought he would. Was torn between him or Brodin with with 97th pick.

You're lucky I went against my gut & followed stats in order to pick Johnson two picks ago, Mikey. If I didn't do that, I was going Palat & Trouba.

I have a dream where I can pick 4 times in one day.
Let's make it happen.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Sorry about that. Was trying to decide between 3-4 players (again). Ended up on M. Staal because of his frame + his showing this past postseason. A bit worried that he is injury-prone, but think his shutdown capability is enough to overshadow that. Will use him to protect J. Johnson.

That's a terrible pick. Mostly because it was the one I was going to make.Avyran wrote:Sorry about that. Was trying to decide between 3-4 players (again). Ended up on M. Love the Dubs pick. He was tops of my list and if I could redo my last pick, I'd take him over Myers.

Was considering Dubinsky for my last pick but thought it was too early to take him.
Oh well, I'm good with Nyquist. Young, speedy and can score.

Nyquist is a solid pick too. I'm feeling a little better that my board seems to be in line with others still at this point of the draft.

Right now he's my LW with E.Staal and Simmonds. Not a lot of flash, but a big ol pain in the arse.Beveridge wrote:Love the Dubs pick. He was tops of my list and if I could redo my last pick, I'd take him over Myers.

Ugh. I thought a lot about making a case for Trouba at the last pick but LITT said "if we go D here, we should go XXXX" so I figured I wouldn't bother. Really wanted Trouba.

I really wanted Marc Staal, but we needed a goalie.
