10th best defenseman in the league. I wouldn't put him ahead of Karlsson or Petro...so maybe he could move up a spot or two...but how much further?Pavel Bure wrote:I wonder if this game is done somewhere else if Letang drops that far.

I agree I'm just thinking along the lines of hearing what all te pundits say paired with other team's fans not seeing him much. I also look at it in trade terms.mikey287 wrote:10th best defenseman in the league. Letang for
Doughty
Subban
Weber
Karlsson
Absolutely
Letang for
Pietrangelo
Hedman
Chara (only due to age, he's gonna be a steal pretty soon)
Suter
I feel like is even money. So I don't believe he's in that elite tier quite yet, he's very close but the injury problems/stroke put up big questions for sure. If he comes out this year and puts up 60ish points slog with 25+ mins a night I think he can elevate himself into that upper tier. (As can those others that I put at even money to Letang)

He was close to being our pick, or at least my vote for the pick. I'm happy going the way we did, though.Idoit40fans wrote:In light of one of the recent picks bringing something to my attention...someone is truly going to get a steal really soon.

I would laugh if you were all talking about a different person.

I like the line of Patch - Kopi - Kane
I was really torn between 4 people there though.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Man, did I miss a lot of picks.
REALLY like the Victor Hedman pick. He's up there with Duncan Keith and Ekman-Larsson, I think. If he was left at my pick, I would've chosen him 100%. Too good to pass up. Also really like the Parise and Pacioretty picks. Two high-quality left-wingers.
If anyone wants to trade up, let me know your offer; I'm debating trading down here to get better picks in the next couple rounds versus just hoping two people fall to me.

We can't possibly be all talking about the same guy, because if he were that obvious ...

I think there's one super obvious guy who has yet to be picked. A for sure top 20 player in the league.Gaucho wrote:We can't possibly be all talking about the same guy, because if he were that obvious ...

Yeah, I know who you're talking about. I currently have 3 targets that I'm going for, but he is really, really hard not to pick here...Pavel Bure wrote:I think there's one super obvious guy who has yet to be picked. I wouldn't say the guy I have in mind is super obvious, tbh.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
As I said, there are at least 3 other players that I was highly considering for that spot. But I couldn't pass up Zdeno Chara.
Perhaps the best slap shot in the game (alongside Weber, Byfuglien, and others); he'll make my power-play incredible with Backes in front, Bergeron or Toews winning faceoffs, and him taking shots. Without a doubt the #1 defender for the Bruins - a stay-at-home, clear the net, aggravate-the-opposition type of defender. Lots of hits, lots of blocked shots. Again, captain for that team (I now have 3 captains and one assistant on my team - so much leadership!).
Also, I now REALLY want to move up. So if anyone's unsure of their next pick, lemme know & I'll try to work a trade.
I like trades.
Also, Mikey or a few others, can I send you a PM asking for advice on a certain player? I've seen stats for him, but I've never seen him play.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
I had Chara as the best on the board right now so that's a solid pick.

There's the guy I was thinking of. Big, mean, leader, not the best skater but a #1 for sure.
