He was a center last year when him and Benn tore up the league.

I feel like I set up Mikey for the 2 guys I had targeted with my first 2 picks. We'll find out.

I think Seguin went too early. I have him slotted as a early-to-mid third rounder.

i would like to say that i really appreciate this and am excited to see where it goes. furthermore, we did this with my ten roommates in college and had an nhl12 league we created on xbox that we would play seasons with our created team. it was great.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
I don't know, I'd probably want to slide up in the third round...I can't decide who I want here, I have an idea about a player that should go about now, but he doesn't fit my style...someone will pick him if I move down 5 spots I think...
I don't know, I might just make a selection...feel free to make an offer, but I might just go with my gut here...
EDIT: Screw it. This guy fits my style and what I'm going for. There's no price you can put on getting the guy you want...

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
The other thing to consider here is the draft position. Him going at #12 does not necessarily mean that he is the 12th best or most valuable player. We pick again at 24. Lundqvist is the only (I believe in our collective opinion) true game changer from the G position regardless of how the rest of our draft shakes out. Since we are going to let our personnel decide our style/system to some extent, we got the one goalie that is fairly immune to having his value take a hit depending upon how the rest of the draft goes. Meanwhile, the other positions have nearly reached a point where we're at the beginning of a tier at each position, which will likely extend to our next pick at 24.mikey287 wrote:First goalie off the board. I think you have to reflect back on your own thoughts on goaltending to see how valuable it really is. I don't think there's much question Hank Lundqivst has been the best goalie in the NHL since the big lockout, I'm not sure it's all that close either...there's a couple guys for me that are creeping in there, but I think he's best goalie for this and he really cemented it with a valiant run to the Final last year. He gives you a chance to win at any time, any level, in any situation...
Giroux was the other top-10 player that slips, technically, out of the first round. Elite playmaker, decent two-way game (though, it's not what it once was, when he first came into the league)...he's a star.

Benn was listed as our second best center available prior to going with Giroux, I believe.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
He moved back to his natural position of LW last season (Seguin was his center, then Chiasson/Nuke rotated as their RW usually), but yeah, he is just one tough hombre and, as you note, he can play two positions. Him and Getzlaf together...hide your children, hide your wife...hell, I'd hide your first pairing defense too...it's going to be a bloodbath...Kraftster wrote:Benn was listed as our second best center available prior to going with Giroux, I believe.

How are you handling the organization of this?
I'm thinking of making a google doc spreadsheet but I have no idea where I would get a full list of players that I can easily import.
also, pretty sure c2i skipped a turn

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Nah, he's good. Hartford (Kovy) selected Patrick Kane. (I initially read that as Evander Kane. ) . He was next.
As for my pick... definitely feel I reached here, but also think it was worthwhile. I had 2 or 3 players in mind, but Bergeron is the best defensive forward in the game, I think.
Am looking to move up for my next pick if possible.

I'm impressed. Took us 12 days to get this far in the NFL draft.

Points maybe. PIMs, seems unlikely...didn't combine for 100 last year I don't believe and it was probably both of their best years of their respective careers...Pitt87 wrote:Yeah, they could lead the league in points and penalty minutes...mikey287 wrote:Selection has been made. I was hoping he'd be available at 23
