I'll bring it. I was damn good at that game.mikey287 wrote:Additionally, in my prime, I could take any of yous with any team against any team that you want. Today, I'd win if it was a best of 7. A single game match with NE vs. SF might get the best of me. Bring it. That was the only video game I felt I was a master at.
Also, I loved Ice Hockey. Fat guy express ftw.

Can we all agree that JS gets Zac Rinaldo if he doesn't make his pick by 4?

Am I correct in the time clock for JS ending at 6:30 pm ET? (Meow'ed at 10:27 pm...)

Oh yeah that looks right, I was under the impression we only had 8 hours to pick for some reason

12 hour window
time between midnight and 8 am est doesn't count
If I was 3rd I'd be picking at 6:27 NFL style to snatch up my guy.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
since this is only 1 pick in and the pick was obvious, i am suggesting that kraftster and i each get our own team to keep the numbers even and just be inserted at the end in order to keep the equity that was already created with teh randomization.Kraftster wrote:Dang, sorry to have missed this. Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
JS's clock runs out at 8 pm. The draft didn't officially start til 8 am this morning. I'm sure he would love to be harassed with a dozen or so PMs full of vulgarities and threats though to speed him up...

He's probably stuck deciding between Blysma and Eddie O.

This brings up a good point. Are we doing coaches to help give our team an identity. It may have been covered, but I didn't see anything about it.pcm wrote:He's probably stuck deciding between Blysma and Eddie O.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
It wasn't really discussed, but I'm guessing this is the thinking. Who would you want to coach your team? Will be sorta interesting, as team style will be dependent on your roster, but there are only so many coaches out there, so they might go off the board before your roster's identity has really taken shape.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Even though I have the first pick, if we want to go that route, I'd like to see the draft order reshuffled to determine coaches.

Re: Dispersal Draft Game - Discussion Thread
Do people know enough about the top ~12 coaches in the league to make a legitimate argument as to why that coach is their coach? Or are we going historical for that?
Edit for clarifying my point:
Sure, I'm assuming people know enough about Babcock, Quenneville, Lindy Ruff, Laviolette, and Sutter (just thinking of big names right now), but are there people here (besides mikey) who could (successfully) argue for a Pete DeBoer, Jack Capuano, Mike Yeo, or a Ted Nolan?

Nice to see you guys are such diligent readers...
Post #28 or #29, or where ever all of the other information is...- Trades are permitted, but let's not go nuts. I'll approve all trades, but I doubt anyone is going to hose themselves in a deal...25 rounds. 23 players, draft a coach and one other figure...I'd recommend an assistant coach.

I can consult on a few coaches if needed, what their strengths might be, etc.MRandall25 wrote:Do people know enough about the top ~12 coaches in the league to make a legitimate argument as to why that coach is their coach? Or are we going historical for that?
