Mario's darned do-gooders are at it again. All Bowser and his minions ever wanted was a place to call home. All this time Princess Peach and her kingdom have had it out for them, forcing them to be second class citizens. And why? Just because they're not as cute as Yoshi, or as short as Toad.
Now Mario has brought the fight to Bowser's turf, and enough is enough. it's time for Bowser to defend his village against those pesky plumbers and their friends.

Night 1

Bowser and his minions had just settled in for the night, ready to dream of their next scheme for world domination. They’d been cramped into this little corner of code too long, and soon it would be time to try to take back the Mushroom Kingdom.

As Bowser’s head hit the pillow, he got word that the pesky plumbers had followed him back home. That wouldn’t do at all, so he alerted his minions to take up their posts. Shots went firing back and forth in the dark.

The first casualty was caused by the Hammer Bros in friendly fire:

A Hammer came flying at ulf’s head. He never had a chance.

ulf was a village Goomba.

Meanwhile, Mario’s do-gooders struck as well, with a stomp dodint was snuffed out.

I can't stop wondering what the colors mean.

Also, dodint is crossed out but ulf is not. Just a mod oversight? Am I reading too much into this? I'm so confuzzled.

The turtles(Koopa) could be jumped on by Mario, then their shell could be sent to clear out any Goombas in Mario's path. But both were minions of Bowser.

Koopas and Goombas are the characters Mario jumps on. The goombas are the little orange/brown things (which is why Goomba is the color it is) and the Koopas are the turtles (hence the green).

The players themselves are still labeled blue. The other colors are there for show, methinks.

Also, Mario had to watch out for rebounding koopa shells that he might send forward in his path, bouncing back at him if they hit anything in the path, like a pipe or brick, etc. If Mario didn't jump over his own projectile, it took him out, too.

I mean, you're really thinking too far into it if you think those colors mean anything other than saying what color a goomba and koopa are. Ulf and dodint were still blue. That's the only color that matters.

Did you read the sign up? Imo, the villagers can get powers. I think the colors reflect a sort of bond much like masons in past games
