At least in western PA, it is not always easy to find.

Gotcha.

Speaking of German beers.....it's frustrating that you only see the same 6-8 brewers at most places.
They, ummmm, make pretty good beer there, so let's make it available.

Saw a case of dogfish saison du buff for $43 today. Tempting, but I'd like to try a single first. Also had 120 minute for $176.

Phin & Matt's Extraordinary Ale. If anyone were to ask for an example of an American Pale Ale, I would point them toward this if available where you live.

This recipe is probably in every homebrewer's guide. Hop nose is there, but the strong bitterness that some find off-putting is not. Great blend of caramel malt, hops and yeast.

Solid.

Had some Yuengling Summer Wheat.

Actually a lot better than I was expecting.

I'm looking for a good cheap staple for the summer. I'll try this. Yuengling is my cheap go to.

It has a very distinct banana taste. Doesn't taste anything like you would expect from a macrobrew like Yuengling, and it's leaps better than the Yuengling lager (in a comparative sense).

Honestly, if you handed me a glass of this without telling me what it was, I would never know it was Yuengling.

Enjoyed a Hangar 24 Betty IPA last night. Really nice looking IPA, very cloudy with a nice head, this thing has a lot of grapefuit and orange citrus punch to it. Very refreshing, would definitely put in a daily rotation if I lived in California. Almost like a super hopped up orange shandy.

If I was a bar owner that had Belgian beers on tap (which I definitely would), I'd either lock them up today or double the price today.

Had a keg of Oberon ordered a month out for the 4th and the guy forgets to place the order. Gotta settle for Sam Adams summer now, I feel like I have to hold people's hands just to get anything done.

Drinking Uinta Brewing's Organic Sum'r summer ale.

Hoppy. But not overwhelming. Clean finish.

earned my 6 pack badge last night on untappd by drinking six of the same beer in a row within a week. I'm not sure if I should be proud of that or not.

I got that last summer drinking Weihenstephaner on vacation. I was quite proud. Or toasty, whatever.

I've been on the fence. In the past I did this with co-workers, but they all seem to be bailing on this one due to vacation.

I imagine by the end of the week I'll be signed up tho.

Unibroue Trois Pistoles tonight as my quest for the best beer to pair with steak detours from American-made hop-heavy options to Belgium via Quebec. Definitely merit to a BSDA choice, especially if accompanied by meaty mushrooms.
