Ha. I remembered it. It sucked. And the 80s are awesome.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Anyone remember That 80's Show?
Of course you don't.
Speaking of 80s, they had GNRs Vegas show on TV last night. Axl looks fat.

Re: TV Shows
Season one of Prison Break was amazing, but after that it was just plain old bad.
Finished season two of Orange is the New Black, which was awesome, and have moved on to House of Cards. Only a couple episodes into season one but its been awesome so far.

A portion of the Prison Break episode "Scan" was shot in Latrobe.

Watched Girl Meets World, too, and also thought it was bad. It kills me to say it was horrible because I want it to be good so badly.
The slow needs to slow the f down. It was really hard to follow because they were bouncing around everywhere with no clear story.

I never understood the love for Boy Meets World. It seemed pretty forgettable at the time.

Re: TV Shows
The television-cation of the web is an interesting process to watch. I was at a wedding in Seattle a few years ago and talked to anthropologist, who works for Intel.blackjack68 wrote:Yahoo has picked up Community.

I wasn't expecting that, but ok, go on. She eventually said, "We're interested in TV, not the web."

I loved Boy Meets World. Well not loved, but did enjoy watching it, not sure how it would hold up now 15 or so years later, but as a early teen/teenager I enjoyed watching it.

Re: TV Shows
Anybody on here survive with just using Hulu Plus and Netflix for TV? I can get one year pre paid subscription for each service for $30 each. And I am thinking about dropping my Direct TV since my contract will be up at the end of July.

Re: TV Shows
I just watched both seasons the past month or so. I absolutely hated the first half a season or so but the fiancee kept watching it. It eventually grew on me. I actually got into the second season from the beginning and the ending is incredible. Fortunately it seemed that the second season took the focus way off Piper, which is good because I don't think she's interesting.count2infinity wrote:Just finished the end of the first season of Orange is the New Black...

Re: TV Shows
Yeah... I actually watched the first 3 or so episodes without my wife back when it first came out, and I wasn't thrilled, but she really wanted to watch it, so I joined in. She absolutely loves the show, and after the first 6 or 7 episodes I finally got into it as well. It's fun to see what Donna Pinciotti grew up to become.

Re: TV Shows
What was the issue with the second episode of Last Ship? I found it to be pretty decent, with the usual hackneyed TV conventions (stupid bad guys, sexual tension)

Re: TV Shows
We were going to pass on it.... until I ended up watching when TNT aired the Pilot after the Kentucky race last weekend. Then my wife watched the next day, and we were hooked enough to watch the 2nd episode last week. So in the normally light summer, with Unforgettable and Falling Skies back, that's three Sunday night shows... thankfully TNT has multiple airs!shafnutz05 wrote:Anyone else giving The Last Ship a watch?

Re: TV Shows
It wasn't bad bad, but it was trying to be 70's show without the same cast. About it's only positive feature was Chyler Leigh, who went on to a long run on Grey's. And it ended abruptly in the 13th episode. (Is on Hulu for the laughs)columbia wrote:Its more popular name was The Cosby Show.Sam's Drunk Dog wrote:Anyone remember That 80's Show?

Re: TV Shows
Rewatching S1 with my parents, they haven't seen it yet so I put Amazon Prime on my parents BD player so they can catch up. I'm finding that I'm less mad rewatching it as I know they bastardized the book and I don't care anymore. Time heals all wounds.PensFanInDC wrote:Anyone else watching Under The Dome? I plan to catch up S2 when I get back to NC.
