For Czechs, I think it's clearly Jagr>>Hasek.

Jagr gets massive props for his willingness to play at the WCs. The fact that he won one while playing with the broken finger puts him to a legendary status. He also financially supports his home team (HC Kladno), spends his off-seasons in the Czech Republic, and is considered far funnier, and more easy going.

Hasek is simply goalie-like weird. (Plus his failed Dominator business that left some sizable debts in the Czech Republic, as well as a stupid assault on his opponent during his short inline-hockey career did not win him any fans, either. Interestingly, after the last WC in Minsk, Hasek publicly criticized Jagr's attitude toward the media - I'd say over 90% of the fan reactions were against Hasek.)

I just got this in my head: "And he smoked him like a bad cigarr, JAROMIR JAGR", on a deak goal Vs Martin Brodeur. Mike Lang rocked and Jagr could still deak. Those were happy times!

Jagr just got nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge by Lucie Vondrackova (Czech singer and the wife of MTL forward Plekanec):

(incidentally, she also nominated Czech movie director Karel Janak who happens to be my college roommate from ~20 years ago... :) )

Don't understand the hate for that man. He is an incredible player and I hope he reaches at least a handful of those achievements before he retires. I'm betting if he doesn't hit some of those scoring milestones this season, he will be back next year to make sure he gets them.

I thought he had retired. Though I hadn't read this thread since July of last year. Until PenguinsLive mentioned him passing Yzerman last night. Would be nice if he was able to finish out his career in a Pens jersey but extremely doubtful it happens. (Don't see the Pens making the trade for hockey reasons, and don't see the Devils making the trade intradivision)
