At the moment they have around $7M in cap room according to Over the Cap. They could clear room if they need it by extending BRoeth or by working out a long term deal with Worilds.

While I am looking at it- the Steelers next year have 50 players signed for about $117M. They might finally be past their cap issues after this season. Happy days are here again and they've gotten there without turning themselves into the Jags.
