Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
My brother had a North Korean beer. I'm very disappointed that it isn't called Kim Jong Ale.

BigMcK wrote:Fat Heads Head Hunter IPA. What can I say about this, other than I would love another! An easy pick as recently tried IPA from the east coast favorite. Nice play of caramel malt played layered with a pleasant pine needle nose straight from the bottle. This would be on the regular purchase list if it was readily available.
The sticker that came in trade will soon be on display on the beer 'fridge. Clever design for a brewery with great beer if this is the flagship.
That is indeed their flagship beer. The only two bottled beers they have year round are that and a honey blueberry ale. All the other bottled beers are limited releases or seasonal. If anyone goes to the one in Cleveland, just ask for stickers at the host's station. The guy gave me over 10 stickers and I pulled out my wallet and he laughed and said, "we don't sell these... enjoy."

Went to Roundabout dahn in lawrenceville over the weekend and picked up a growler of their IPA. It had a grapefruity taste and was pretty enjoyable. Also sampled a few other beers that were pretty tasty. This gentleman ends up in lawrenceville every once in a while and will make it a point to stop by again in the future.

What's their setup? Similar to east end?

Never been to East End, but Roundabout, you go in and try samples and then you can get growlers filled. They sometimes have bottles of certain brews as well.

Also, their IPA is good, not amazing, but worth trying anyway. They had a Belgian ale called Gui when I was there back in December that was excellent.

Either four seasons or roundabout is going to start canning sometime soon. This gentleman cant recall which one it was though.
Roundabout had a pretty basic low key setup. its a small storefront with a handful of tables and a small bar to sit if you want to drink there. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.

Hop Farm, which is literally like two blocks up from Roundabout is also worth checking out. I might like their IPA better, actually.

Victory Golden Monkey is really damn good.
I know it says Triple, but it tastes very much like a wheat/wit with some hop and alcohol kick. Very balanced.

What does that go for in PA?
It's $12.99 for a sixer at Publix.

Last I had seen, a case of Golden Monkey would run you around $40.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Has anyone had beer from Full Pint Brewing (N. Versailles)?
I'm asking because Munch from the P-G gave a pretty glowing review to the beer and food served at the brewpub. And, my Market District carries some of the Full Pint offerings.
Is it worth trying?

You might have had full pint without knowing if you've been to industry and had one of their two "house" beers.
Solid beer. I feel like they're the stoudt's brewery of western pa. Nothing unique or spectacular, just an array of solid options.

Is it labeled as such, because I don't recall that being the case.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
So said an afternoon bartender a few years ago...maybe that's not the case anymore.
Shortly after that I asked the Full Pint guy when I was there. He didn't seem thrilled with the arrangement because he wasn't aware that they weren't going to sell the beers as Full Pint offerings.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I've had Chinookie IPA and White Lightning wit from Full Pint. They are both pretty good. However, the case of WL I got last year was extremely inconsistent. One beer would take 10 minutes to pour due to excessive foam, the next would almost seem flat. The former tasted great while the latter were ho-hum.
