To be fair, they did run into late local news for most of the country. There are two other outlets for postgame chitter chatter...for me, I watch no postgame and very rarely any intermission stuff from NBC because it's butt-grade crap most of the time. I don't need two (or more) stupider people telling me about what I just watched...
