I'm convinced that Marty St Louis' mom was an Illuminati sacrifice for the Stanley Cup.

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
One thing lost in the St Louis mom passing is the fact that he acted like an ******* at the trade deadline. He was a captain of a team that pouted because his GM didn't put him on the Olympic, then forced a trade after he was put on the team and won a gold medal. I feel bad for him dealing with family, but I really don't want him to be on the winning team. And that's even before considering it's the Rangers....pens9192 wrote:The Pens just needed to win one more game, one more f'n game. Sigh..
Can't wait to see all the celebrities in the Cup Final, yay. "Who is up in the suites tonight, Doc??!!" "Why its Justin Timberlake, Pierre." "I didn't know he was a hockey fan, Doc."
Also can't wait for the "team of destiny" crap, ugh. "Winning the Cup for Marty's Mom" stuff that will be rammed down our throats. If only the Rangers won in Montreal, the Habs fans probably would've threw stuff on the ice.
Oh, and Dominic Moore? GTFO. Funny story is during one of my Eastside Hockey Manager seasons Moore was the second leading scorer on my team right behind Ryan Whitney. Yeah…my team wasn't too good that year.

Pens just weren't very good and we're riding luck. Habs most likely would have mopped the floor with Pens.

Bingo. St. Louis acted like a giant baby at the deadline, and to hear the media fawn over him now is utterly nauseating. Go Kings...if the Hawks win, my allegiance will be that much harder to determine.dman66 wrote:One thing lost in the St Louis mom passing is the fact that he acted like an ******* at the trade deadline. Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
Maybe I am biased from watching the pens dissapointing play recently. Even the Rangers - Habs 1-0 game looked faster and more exciting than any of our games. More real, actual, not hit the goalie in the chest from 45 feet and have fans call it a scoring chance, chances.mikey287 wrote:Disagree.Pavel Bure wrote:Pens just weren't very good and we're riding luck. We seem to a few glorious chances a game but its not enough. Not nearly what other teams get.
Not sayin the Habs would have mopped us. I just have no idea what to think of us when I watch other games. Don't even get me started on the West.

I agree, especially after watching the intensity of the ECF and WCF. I just did not see any of that with the Pens. They barely put up a fight in game 7, at home. Also very lackluster game 5 and 6. More changes must be made.Pavel Bure wrote:Pens just weren't very good and we're riding luck. Habs most likely would have mopped the floor with Pens.

Mopped the floor? Probably not.
Would have defeated the listless Pens? Sure.

To be honest, in all of their series, including the Bruins, Montreal never really "scared" me as legitimate cup contender. It's weird, it just felt like a bunch of decent players working together to make a decent run, but not much more.

Ah, damn it. I thought this game started at 8. Flipped it on at 9:05 and caught that awful national anthem rendition. Boo.

Replace Montreal with the Rangers and Boston with the Pens and that pretty much sums up my thoughts on the Rangers too...a solid, hard-working team with a great goalie, but not a real cup contender, but here we are.shafnutz05 wrote:To be honest, in all of their series, including the Bruins, Montreal never really "scared" me as legitimate cup contender. if the implication is that we were lucky to beat CBJ, i disagree. they aren't a good team. at all.Pavel Bure wrote:Pens just weren't very good and we're riding luck. Habs most likely would have mopped the floor with Pens.

That series was as close as it was for a variety of reasons, most of which reflect poorly on the coaching and preparedness of the Pens.

Just tuned in to see Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Chris Paul (NBA'er maybe??). Yeah that's what I wanted see first. Egad. The downside of the Kings being in it.
