I can only root for the Rangers if they play the Flyers. That's it--not even if they play the Caps. It's not sour grapes; it's a lifetime of disliking the Rangers and Rangers fans.
I hope they get steamrolled by the Hawks or Kings.
I totally agree. Cannot stand the Rangers and hope the West annihilates them, which I think is pretty likely.
I wouldn't necessarily say we would've had an easy road to the finals. There's no guarantee the Pens would have injured Carey Price, and it's perfectly plausible to say that Carey Price could've kept the series close and maybe give the Canadiens a chance to win.

We wouldn't have hurt Carey Price because no one goes to the net. I think the Habs were spent after that Bruins series and would have needed Carey Price to win a series against us. Then we would have gotten slaughtered by LA or CHI.

Plus we're only considering the opponent. We all know the Penguins toughest opponent is themselves.

Alain Vigneault is familiar with both of those teams. I suppose Sutter and Q are familiar with Vigneault.
I'm serious when I say I mean no disrespect to MSL and his mum. But I still wonder why the Pens couldn't just give flowers or food instead of a whole playoff series.
I am in agreement with everyone whose frustration level has not subsided (re: seeing the Rags in the SC finals instead of the Pens). Maybe we would not have beaten Les Habitants, let alone the LA or the Hawks. But we coulda/shoulda. Argh, grumble, murmur, whine. Sorry for the mini-rant.
There is a bright side. We still have our award winning coach (sarc off).
BTW, I may be alone here, but I think the Rags will acquit themselves fairly well in the SCF's.

I don't think that story is accurate. I've been to MSG a few times, and security is pretty tight. I doubt she got in without a ticket like some sort of scoff law...
The Pens just needed to win one more game, one more f'n game. Sigh..
Can't wait to see all the celebrities in the Cup Final, yay. "Who is up in the suites tonight, Doc??!!" "Why its Justin Timberlake, Pierre." "I didn't know he was a hockey fan, Doc."
Also can't wait for the "team of destiny" crap, ugh. "Winning the Cup for Marty's Mom" stuff that will be rammed down our throats. If only the Rangers won in Montreal, the Habs fans probably would've threw stuff on the ice.
Oh, and Dominic Moore? GTFO. Funny story is during one of my Eastside Hockey Manager seasons Moore was the second leading scorer on my team right behind Ryan Whitney. Yeah…my team wasn't too good that year.
