That is incorrect. The Silmarils are not our only goal.

And, like I said, the only way we can get them, at this point, is for our seer to find one during the night phase.

And we did not kill dagny on night 2.

My house didn't kill or attempt to kill Dagny.

Reading up, this Union does appear to be us joining to fight Morgoth so this much seems plausible. Unfortunately, I do not know how to form this merge either. I am willing to focus on "reds" at this point and let these other factions play out. An unfortunate kill of Shaf if this turns out to be the case of us joining.

I have to ask MRandall, does your seer have any info that we can use to flush out any "reds"? If not, we will have to start looking at something else to go by.

Our seer viewed slappy last night, who is
Barahir of the House of Bëor
From our quick research:
In Tolkien's legendarium, Barahir was a Man of Ladros, heir to the House of Bëor in the First Age. He was the son of Bregor, husband of Emeldir, and most famous as the father of Beren Erchamion, who later was to marry Lúthien Tinúviel and result in the first union of Elves and Men.
I'm not entirely sure what that entails, but if I understand how the game is currently going, I think we have a bunch of factions who each have a common goal of defeating The Enemy (Morgoth and his forces), and a secondary goal.

All of these factions, I think, can join the Union.

FWIW, we only have sees every odd night. Given your other post (Zaro), your faction has the other seer who can see on the even nights.

I would assume the other factions make up a sort of "village", because I can't see a reason for 4 seers.

Check that - even if he is a member it would be better to just say he's been cleared by your seer. No need to give the reds any more definite RP targets.

Yeah very interesting. They "can" join.. Do they have to? Are we gonna get burned if we leave them hang around and they don't join?

Which is why I think it's multiple factions as opposed to a "village". Our factions are the primary ones, as we have the night RP powers, then the others are just villagers in different houses.

... or so I'm guessing. I could very possibly be wrong.

Like I said, our goal is still to defeat the enemy. Our other goal is to find the Silmarils, which we can only do via night sees at this point.

I don't think a union is an ultimate goal, BUT I think it joins the two factions who have the RPs. From what I understand (and I'm probably reaching a little), it means both factions can communicate if we were to have the Union. It would basically ensure that we at least know who the other RPs are so we aren't stepping on each other's feet in the thread.

I think this is spot on. If factions join it makes it easier for the larger Union during the day phase. It eliminates the unknown field by a large chunk.

21 players to start
4 factions of 5 or 5 factions of 4 with 1 independent
1 red faction and 3 or 4 "village" factions of varying colors
Village factions are trying to find each other to form the Union
Defeat red faction

Is that what we are dealing with?

That might be right. Neither my faction nor Zaro's killed dagny on Night 2.

I could be possible that the red faction had the kill that night, as well.
