Tough save. Makeable, but not routine. Pearson kind of Jai alai's it off his stick and it is fluttering, and it was right under the bar, used the D as a screen. It was from a country mile away.

Shots that come off the stick like that - they sort of stick on the blade a fraction of a second longer than normal - are super difficult to read right away. Some backhands do this as well. You're conditioned to read shots coming off the blade with a certain level of consistency - a certain level of timing. When the puck sticks to the blade a millisecond longer, you sort of hesitate and get caught leaning or shifting and waiting. I've had many a goals beat me just like that. Not many people will fully understand this, but all goalies will know the pain.

I feel like watching Hossa is more depressing he's still in the elite wing category. So good everywhere. Wish he would have signed long term.

Both of these teams are creative with the puck. They don't waste possessions cycling to nowhere. They let their forwards attack and try to create.

I'm jelly. Why aren't they skating with their back to the net making blind passes to guys that aren't expecting the pass? Seems strange.
