Had a Bruton stoner Italian blonde ale from rare beer club, it was pretty refreshing, had a nice light Belgian apple taste to it

Pretty enjoyable strong dark ale. Trappist ales have never really been my favorite style, but this one is pretty solid. It is more balanced, and less "banana-heavy" and spiced that I feel like a lot of the other beers are.
Sounds pretty good. I don't remember seeing it around here.

Kraftster: does our Jiggle have it?
Hmm, I don't recall seeing it, only the Blance de Chamblay.
Yeah, they had the Blanche, but no Noire. Maybe they'll have it at the uppity Shady side Market District.

The fdh was awesome. Great summer beer. A bit of hops, but bright and citrusy.

The Seeweisse is somewhat underwhelming. Not bad, but needs moar flavor.

I had the fdh last week. I like it as well. As I said, not a typical weak tasting summer beer.

Gnomegang is excellent. Listed as a Blonde, but almost tastes like a Tripel.

Opened the Black Phoenix from Bootlegger's Brewery. It's a chipotle coffee stout.

I like it. It's a hard to describe taste. You definitely taste the smokey chipotle first. And then you get the coffee aftertaste. Very smooth.

My cousin procured a bottle of Fire and Blood for me. Super psyched. Got the bottle w/ the fire breathing dragon. That will be had tomorrow or Monday.

Now drinking the Ballast Point Black Marlin Porter.

More hoppy taste. Read the bottle and it said "A hoppy twist on the Classic English Porter". That explains it. LOL

Thanks McK, for sending these. Great choices.

I had Rebel IPA at a party because my choice was either that or a keg of Miller that only spit out foam...

Rebel IPA isn't very good.

It was $12 for a 30pk at the store near my house in Baltimore. The best thing I could say about it other than its price is that it wasn't poisonous.

I went to the red, white, and brew in Uniontown today and for $20, it was a pretty solid investment. You had to pour your own samples (lolwut). I had about 3 flower power IPAs. Good day. They had rum and wine as well. The spiced rum I had was really solid. It was a pgh local (maggies farm). Troegs, Ithaca, Victory, all had options, but I think I drank mostly rivertowns pineapple beer because it was sp hot out.

So Fire and Blood. This is good, but I feel it could have been better. They missed an opportunity with the chiles, imo. I like the flavor that the anchos impart, but if they added a bit of bite from a spicier chile, this might have been something special.

As is, it tastes like a Belgian red ale with a hint of the ancho flavor... Which is what it is, of course.

Glad I got to try it at least... And add the bottle to my collection.

Man, really bummed about this Randy thing. Talking to him yesterday, he didn't leave me feeling too hopeful about that GE staying anything like what it is. Just look at the McKnight GE across from Rave Cinema to see how bad it can get. Woof.

Said it'll take him about 1.5 months to get things turned around in Shadyside.

Sigh.
