Michel Therrien was giving credit to the Ranger. He was good.
I miss Therrien post-games, haha.

What did Carcillo do? I'm seeing some tweets about him making contact with an official.

I am thinking Prust and Carcillo will be receiving season's greetings phone calls from Shanny's replacement.

prust shouldn't be suspended. he should have received 2 for interference and 2 for charging (if that's a possible simultaneous combination).
he didn't hit his head. stepan should receive a wedgie for being such a ninny.

Well, Carcillo will not be hearing from the NHL Player Safety because they don't handle these types of matters. He'll hear from Hockey Operations instead. It should be an automatic 10 or 20 game suspension. The Rangers have a possible 11 games left, leads me to believe he'll get 11.Humperdink wrote:The ref looking right at it apparently had an ice chip on his visor.shafnutz05 wrote:I just saw that Prust hit...how in the world do the officials miss that?

They might give him a supplemental fine, since they aren't paid during the playoffs?

AV's indignance over the Prust hit is amusing. Saying he'd never want HIS players to do what Prust did.
No, he prefers they just cross check concussion susceptiable players to the back of the head all game long.
STFU, AV.

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
I remember some time ago Carcillo was suspended in the AHL for a number of games so they sent him to Wheeling where he was allowed to play. It took him to I think the 2nd period of his first game to shove an official during a fight and get thrown out and the E suspended him tooJim wrote:He is an idiot. NO questions. Per RDS, Carbomb Carcillo hit with a ten gamer. That makes him ineligible until at least game 7 of the Cup Final.
Good riddance.

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
While it would be easy to make jokes about how the NHL punish players in a VERY arbitrary manner, there is zero tolerance in major sports leagues for getting in any way physical with the officials. Carcillo may consider himself a bit fortunate it was only 10 games considering his lengthy suspension history.
A lot of Pens' fans want this guy on the team? "Grit and sandpaper?" How about out of control idiot. Prust wasn't exactly killing Dorsett there yet Carcillo had to try and jump-in like the idiot he is who can't play under any control at all, no matter the game situation.

All the evidence from last night pointed to ninny. The fact that his head area was injured is surprising.shafnutz05 wrote:What a ninny he is

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
Does anyone else feel as bored as what I do with these Conference Finals and soon to be Stanley Cup Finals?
Not sure if its because of the teams involved....space between games.......
It's not because of the Pens being out. I'm a hockey fan in general, I play three nights a week myself...

The ever-increasing gaps between games makes it more and more real that the season is ending soon. The time between mid-June and early September is awful.

Yeah these days with no hockey at all make it quite apparent that the season for all teams is coming to a close.shafnutz05 wrote:The ever-increasing gaps between games makes it more and more real that the season is ending soon. The time between mid-June and early September is awful.
Perhaps that is why I'm over the season already and bored with the current teams still battling for the cup.
I'm over the Penguins loss. I'm just losing interest every day in the Stanley Cup playoffs.... By the final series, I'll totally be tuned out I fear.
Oh well, off to play some beer league pick up hockey.

I'm OK with 3 of the 4 teams. So I am enjoying the games.Matthew Monstar wrote:Does anyone else feel as bored as what I do with these Conference Finals and soon to be Stanley Cup Finals?

I'm also following the Baby Pens in their Calder Cup run. Listen to the games online.
But when this all wraps up, I will definitely be bored sports wise.

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
I know this is Pens Affiliate related, but a couple years ago, my wife and I grabbed tickets to a WBS playoff game, first row, on the ice. That's probably the most fun I've ever had at a hockey game, and far more fun than any Pens game.
