@SlavaMalamud: Ovechkin is taken off the ice. Can't support his own weight. Looks like a knee and it looks terrible. #Caps

@SlavaMalamud: Ovechkin was taken out by an open-ice hip check that hit him on the left knee. Couldn't get up. Taken off supported by two people. #Caps

@SlavaMalamud: Correction, right knee made contact with the opposing player. Whether this was what hurt him, we don't know yet. Will try to find out more.

Never want to see a guy hurt, but this could be karma catching up to him.

I'm not much of a karma person, but he has sure tried to injure players, BIGTIME. If that is karma, so be it.

Alright that's a huge overestimate. Probably closer to 1 year - 1.5.

I'm just thinking about Derrick Rose who's been out for like a century it seems.

I assume this is just ovys way of welcoming Shero to the organization. Shero having an injured superstar is a welcoming party if I've ever seen one.
