He'd have to have some pretty good beer to make up for those Journey posters in the mancave.

It's Eddie money, not journey (not that there is anything wrong with journey).

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Few beers from the weekend:
East End Pedal Pale Ale-Very tasty beer and one of those beers that if given the chance this gentleman would drink many of them.
Penn Maibock-Stringer bell would call it a 40 degree day. No as good as straubs maibock.
Stouts American Pale Ale-Also a very tasty beer but not as good as the East end.

Up by the brewery at Wegmans, they were selling these for $20 a six pack, that seems crazy.shafnutz05 wrote:Picked up ST Gemini for the game tonight

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Most places it is $20 a six pack. It's high alcohol and high hop content. Usually as those two go up, price goes up. Is it worth it? I very much enjoy it. It's like a touch better than dogfishhead 90 min, which sells for what? $12 a 4 pack? so do the math.

I got lucky with this one, a guy I work with had his girlfriend up from the state of Indiana and was very generous. Check out the label, it's pretty rad. Got that and a Pliny for tonight. Should be a nice evening.

I suppose so, for all that Southern Tier puts in bombers, that's one that would fit it nicely. I'm looking forward to trying it. They have a belgian style ipa coming out soon that I'm interested in as well

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
my mom just bought my dad another case for his birthday so we're stockpiled pretty well with that.shmenguin wrote:i'd fund a month of his drinking in exchange for whatever KBS he has left.
I'm pretty lucky in that my wife, brother, mom and dad all enjoy good craft beer and enjoy trying new things frequently so we all go in on different things and share as a family (my brother just got a case of dark horse: plead the 5th - I'm really excited about that). I have spent more than usual lately because of playoff games. I usually get a mix and match six pack each week and if not that, then 2 or 3 bombers, just to try new things. We then usually have a case of something seasonal (summer love, hop sun, oberon, etc) as filler. I would say it's fair to say I spend around $80-100 (on a high end) a month on good beer. I probably have 20 different beers in my fridge now that would last me a month if I stopped sampling too.
I think I said it on here before, but last year my new years resolution was to drink a good craft beer everyday for the entire year (both for enjoyment and I wanted to gain some weight-stuck at 140lbs since jr high). That resolution has carried well into this year and 30 lbs later I may need another resolution soon..

Be careful, it's more difficult to go in the other direction.eddysnake wrote: I think I said it on here before, but last year my new years resolution was to drink a good craft beer everyday for the entire year (both for enjoyment and I wanted to gain some weight-suck at 140lbs since jr high). Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
I have also made it my hobby and with 3 kids, it seems like one of the easiest to get around and have access to. Kids like picking out my mix and match from labels (rye of the tiger or tiger beer is their current fave). I also have a friend who is getting real close to starting his own local brewery, so being around that makes it easy to support my hobby.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
what world is this where there are just cases of KBS lying around?eddysnake wrote:my mom just bought my dad another case for his birthday so we're stockpiled pretty well with that.shmenguin wrote:i'd fund a month of his drinking in exchange for whatever KBS he has left.
is it just that people in philly are more rabid about getting it, so we run out right away, while people in pittsburgh get to have as much as they want because everyone's just buying case after case of iron city (i'm assuming)?
