Do we really need to see an article posted here as "new" that was out 45 days ago?

Jagr returned to Prague and announced that:

(a) he will play at the WC in Minsk
(b) he agreed with New Jersey on another 1-year contract

When I saw this had new posts, somehow I knew it was either going to be Tomas or Lesky. Should've guessed it'd be both.

I wish I had the photo shop skills to put golf clubs on Jagr's shoulders in that picture instead of the sticks

No, God hates the Jacksonville Jaguars.

...it's because they didn't sign Tebow like nature intended.

Say what you want about him, but damn..how many guys are 42, can play 82 games, and still compete at the level he does on that team. A truly generational talent, and after it all, I miss him.

I'm not suprised he's coming back for another year. He was still productive this season, and he is closing in on the 1800 point mark. 45 points this season is very manageable. I am a bit suprised the Devils are paying as much as is being reported. 5-6 million is a pretty high for a 42 year old player, even one who is still productive. They don't have a huge amount of cap space either, if I remember properly.

He's a mercenary who doesn't care about winning anymore outside of international competition.

He's the team's leader in points with 24 goals and 43 assists. He's the team's leader in shots on net with 231.He's the team's leader in both Corsi For% and relative Corsi For% in 5-on-5 play at 59.2% (!) and +7.1% (!!) among regulars per Extra Skater. The latter is important to note because being present for shooting attempts and generating them means that when he's on the ice, the play is going forward. Even by the eye test, #68 has constantly picked on defensemen and forwards along the boards, in the corners, and even in open ice.
Yes, Jagr has had an incredible season.

Maybe when you are 42, you should rest in the summer.

Czech Republic lost to Russia 0:6 at Swedish Hockey Games (last tune up tourney before WC in Minsk), and Jagr left the ice in the 24th minute with a bruised thigh...

Ovechkin with 1 assist...

Jaromir Jagr's base salary will be $3.5 million for next season with bonuses (games-played) that could bring it to $5.5 million.
