Apparently Jagr got it because he's old. Seriously. Read the description on the NHL's site.

Malhorta was nominated in 2012. Why again?

Moore, I can understand.

No Letang...I guess returning from a stroke isn't as important as being old.

Even if that is the case, using the logic they used to pick Jagr, Selanne should be on the list.

Just because your in your 40s and still playing in the NHL should not merit a Masterson nomination.

That was my thought as well, and there's a hanging "if" there, too. Sure, he wants to return, and I hope him the best, but only time will tell.
I know Letang was the Masterson entry for the Pens, so I don't know how he didn't make it as a finalist.
