episodes 2 worked for me, I like Pete and Ted together out there. When Don goes back and forth to see Meghan, it does nothing good for the show.

i thought it was pretty weak. the comedy of the conference call was good, and i liked the don/sally diner scene. but i don't have much interest in the long-running plots right now. which isn't good since there are only 14 episodes left. and this show is at its worst when don is neutered. i know they have to take him down a peg or 50 for his redemption to come to fruition, but it's not that interesting of a ride.
the long running plots are a concern with me with so little time left. I'm hoping Sally's words knocked some sense in to him. While it seems like he's been knocked down constantly for every season, I find it interesting to see where he is now not working. For me, it's a suspenseful change from the past seasons.

story lines, in descending order of quality

Don: disappointing but still interesting
Sally: we've seen the same stuff for 3 seasons now, but at least it's something
Ken: good comic relief
Joan: hey...that's a swell arc
Pete: don't care
Ted/Peggy: really don't care
Betty: really, really don't care
Roger: really really really don't care
Harry: who?
Receptionists: you're likely a result of a studio note about lack of minority representation. i don't know you and i'm not interested.

plenty of time to turn it around, but there's just nothing happening right now that makes me excited, episode-to-episode

Even with the weird plots...Mad Men is still compelling for me. The meticulous sets, costumes, and so on, are really well done.

I'm curious about what's going on with Roger. Enjoying the swingin' 60s? Midlife crisis? Both?

I didn't know this until yesterday, but the blond girl in Veep is the same girl from the movie, My Girl.

She looks like an entirely different person.

And...

Thank God we're rid of the actress that is Emma.

I liked Silicon Valley, good episode.

Watched the first episode of The Borgias. Jeremy Irons is awesome as usual. Felt like I was watching something from an Alexandre Dumas book. Anyone watch this? I hope it stays interesting, but I can see where the show could get boring. I'll keep at it.

Silicon Valley was very good, too. Loved the Pied Piper logo discussion...and the sesame fixation.

So is Fargo on FX worth it or not?

"Like a snack ****." That line still cracks me up.

The first episode was so-so, but the last two have been pretty solid.

Amazon Prime's content is starting to nicely fill out. Seriously hate their fast-forward function with no image preview though.

MST3K: Joel or Mike?

The choice usually seems to be age related. Mike all day long for me.

How it's not Joel for everyone will baffle me.

I don't really care which one it is. MST3K The Movie is the pinnacle of MST3K for me, so I guess Mike.

Yeah, their video player and interface(s) are about 2-3 iterations behind Netflix. But nice work adding HBO programming.

I hate mid-season breaks because of shows like this. I never remembered when it had returned and by the time I had time to try and catch up I had no way of watching the shows. Midseason breaks can go rot.
